She gave me options and explained all my choices going forward. Would recommend to anyone not only as a general practice vet but especially for issues with lameness. "I just wanted to write you a huge thank you for all of the time and attention you took while doing the Pre-Purchase Exam of my horse.  I’m sure everyone can relate to the excitement you feel when you finally find THE ONE!  The horse that you love.  However, as we all know doing a thorough exam before hand is vital.  Rarely have I encountered someone as dedicated to their profession as you.  You not only performed the necessary tests, but you took the time to observe the personality and temperament of the horse.  You did not push me towards unnecessary tests, but gave me all of the options that were available so that I could make the best decision during the purchase process.  You took extra time with me explaining all of your findings so we could make a good judgment.  Many doctors would just methodically give you results and move on to the next appointment, not you, you actually care about me the client AND most importantly THE HORSE.  In this case we have a happy ending as my horse is healthy and happy, but I feel so secure to know that had something been amiss, you would have addressed it.  I hope everyone has the pleasure of having you as their vet and I would enthusiastically refer you to anyone in the Columbus area looking for a dedicated and talented person who is willing to go the extra mile for her clients."

​"​Dr. McPherson came out to our barn for my mare's chronic abscess after my regular vet didn't feel it was necessary to make a farm call or address my concerns. Dr. McPherson came out the very next day, addressed all my concerns, took radiographs (and was so patient with my mare while doing so), helped me come up with a treatment plan - which involved taking my mare to OSU, cleaned and bandaged the foot, and followed through to make sure I got an appointment with OSU the very next day. She was extremely professional, yet personable, and was confident and direct in what needed to be done for my mare. She also is going to be providing after care assistance and follow-ups for my mare after she comes back from OSU. Dr. McPherson made sure that I wasn't being sent there blindly and that I knew she was available throughout the whole treatment. Dr. McPherson was highly recommended to me by a fellow co-worker who has had horses for years! I can't say enough about Dr. M. She was thorough in her examination and explained everything that she saw. She explained xray results and a wide range of treatment options with terms I understood and with much patience. I had lots of questions, and when I called the office, she returned my call promptly and exhibited a wealth of scientific knowledge tempered with understanding and lots of patience. We came up with a plan of care that I felt very comfortable with. She explained not only supplements, but also riding/walking activities that would help with the option of re-evaluating and changing the plan at any time. Most importantly, she was quiet, gentle, and patient with my horse which means more than anything to me. Ace and I feel truly blessed to have Dr. M. take care of both of us!"
